LAGOS — The 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards delivered another unforgettable night of glamour, celebration, and African cinematic excellence as filmmakers, actors, fashion icons, and creatives gathered at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.
This year’s ceremony was more than just an award night. It became a grand showcase of Africa’s storytelling power, luxury fashion culture, and entertainment influence across the continent. Hosted by comedian Bovi Ugboma and South African actress Nomzamo Mbatha, the ceremony blended humour, elegance, and emotional moments that kept viewers entertained throughout the night.
The night belonged to some of Nollywood’s biggest productions, with The Herd, Gingerrr, To Kill a Monkey, and My Father’s Shadow dominating conversations after receiving multiple nominations.

Among the major winners celebrated during the ceremony were:
- Mercy Aigbe, who won Best Supporting Actress for Farmer’s Bride

The red carpet featured dramatic gowns, heavily detailed beadwork, modern interpretations of traditional attire, flowing capes, structured suits, crystal embellishments, and Afrocentric fashion statements that turned heads across social media. From richly embroidered agbadas to futuristic couture dresses, stars proudly represented African creativity in its finest form.
