LASSA, Borno State – At least 36 students remain missing after armed men attacked a secondary school in Lassa, Borno State, during an ongoing national examination, prompting desperate appeals from parents for the government to secure their safe return.
The attack occurred on Monday at Government Day Secondary School, where students were sitting their examinations when gunmen stormed the premises and abducted dozens of pupils.
The incident marks the third mass school abduction in Nigeria since May, raising renewed concerns over the safety of students in the country’s conflict.
