Former Anambra State Governor and NDC presidential candidate for the 2027 presidential election, Peter Obi, on Tuesday visited the Nigerian Air Force facility in Abuja to formally sign the condolence register following the recent aircraft crash.
Obi disclosed the visit in a post on X, saying it followed his message of condolence issued on Monday over the incident.
He said the visit provided an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces and other security agencies serving in the line of duty.
“These courageous Nigerians put their lives on the line to defend our nation and protect our people,” Obi said, stressing that their service and sacrifice should not be taken for granted.
He extended his condolences to the Nigerian Air Force and the families, colleagues and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the crash.
Obi also prayed for the eternal repose of the deceased and for strength and fortitude for their families to bear the loss.
He further prayed for God’s continued protection of all personnel serving the country.
